Daniil Medvedev Watch Indian Well semifinal opponent Holger runes Being one of the most complete young players in the game.
Medvedev said the 21-year-old runes have all the shots – his biggest challenge is knowing when to use them.
Medvedev, formerly ranked No. 1 in the world, beat 20-year-old Arthur Fils 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7) in today’s Pulse Quarterfinals.
Medvedev met in Wells, India and met the media in Wells, saying Rune had multiple equipment for his game.

Medvedev vs. Rune semifinals are a rematch of the 2024 Indian Wells quarterfinals, with Medvedev winning the game 7-5, 6-4. Medvedev’s most recent title was in Rome in 2023, defeating Runes 7-5, 7-5 in the final.
“I think we all saw him, maybe he knew sometimes he wasn’t consistent at the start of the game, but when he was like deep, he was a hard player to beat,” Medvedev said. “So I hope for a tough game. I need to play very well. I’m doing it now. I’m looking forward to it.”
