The coach denied that this had happened just minutes after the New York Post reported that Mikal Bridges told his coach Tom Thibodeau gave the Knicks fewer starters.
“Well, we’ve never talked about that,” Thibodor told the media. “Facts are facts.”
He went on to explain the longer game for the Wing player, with people questioning his system “don’t understand how the team works”, adding that league stars like Kevin Durant and Jayson Tataum play 36-37 minutes a night.
He later added that Mikal’s film “Down”.

“Sometimes it’s not fun for the body,” Bridges said through the New York Post. “But you want to be a coach and you’ve also talked to him a little bit.” [minutes]47.

Bridges is also Thibodeau is coaching, but “sometimes I think he’s just on his own way.”
“I don’t think he’s arguing. Sometimes I think he’s just gone in his own way and he’s locked up. He just wants to leave that guy there,” Bridges said. “Sometimes you have to tell him, like Landry [Shamet]for example, or someone keeps him there, they are doing well. ”
Bridges has had the longest straight game win streak, the leader in total minutes of the season, with an average of 37.8 minutes per game, but it’s not an easy task.
“I think it’s something you’ve never really gotten used to,” Bridges said. “Your body feels its condition every year. But I’ve been involved in it for a while and knowing how to take care of my body in these situations and just trying to do what I can.”
