Part 1: Height Doubles
A doubles match with height involves two things: positioning and shooting options. Which of the various forms will give your team the highest chance to win opinions? Then, from that formation, what is the highest percentage shot to execute?
position
exist 4.0Level and above, the team of the control network won the focus 85Percentage of time. Here are three reasons:
1 . For most players, it is technically easier to hit than ground. The terrain requires more preparation, longer swings and intense movement and timing. In most cases, shooting only requires you to turn your shoulders from the ready position and move one or two steps, then push the ball forward with minimal follow-up. If two players with equal ability enter the terrain/shooting communication, the base will usually miss it first.
The main goal of doubles is to force your opponent to hit the ball so you can actively knock it back down. This means (at the right time) you can end the point by driving a volley on the opponent’s feet or hitting the middle. You can’t just drive “down” from the baseline online.
When your team controls the network, you take the time to leave your opponent. Your shot seems to have more pace and every time you hit, they have to hit a high-quality shot. If they don’t, you can end the point with one shot.
So yes, the highest combination is two players on the network. However, to win, your team must be moving effectively and effectively. You must also be able to predict circles and drives and hit the solid overhead. These skills take time to develop. Your current level of competition will determine the success of this formation.
If you are a team 3.5 Level or below, a single back, may give you the highest chance to win the game. There is no shame. That’s it now. But, if you want to move to 4.0 Level, spend a lot of practice time developing your network skills.
Lens selection
While angles and alleys may win points at lower levels (none of the players can cover the court correctly) and senior tennis (both players and the ball move at slow speeds), most points are won by being won in three positions in a fast-paced doubles match:
Along the middle
Hitting the middle of the court always brings chaos to another team. It’s always fun to watch your opponents give each other “Where are you?” There is no touch between the cameras that take care of you.
Also, when you play the center in the center, your opponent has to create your own angle – it’s a tough thing. Finally, if you hit the center without hitting the ball, you may still continue to play. When you go to the alleys and angles, you will only miss your goals and you may lose your point of view because of your mistakes.
In their feet
Don’t try to impress the shots that your opponent cannot touch – hit them so hard that they can’t return.
Countless times I’ve seen a player miss a relaxing volleyball because he tries to keep it away from his opponent rather than hitting his foot.
Forget “keep it away from your opponent” and you will make too many mistakes. Instead, place the ball on the awkward areas of their bodies (foot and hips), forcing them to miss. If they do manage to get the ball back, you may be easily attacking.
On their heads
This shot is the most powerful shot in tennis. Strong, I’m not talking about pace. I mean the impact on this. Whether it is a low, offensive LOB, it can push opponents away from the network, or a high, deep defensive LOB, which gives you time to recover and every senior team will understand the benefits of an effective LOB. This is an essential lens.
When the team is 4.0 Level and above competition, they have many leaves on longer strategic points. These players have been self-improvement for hitting rare world-class/lucky shots and understand that shooting is one of their most effective weapons.
When your opponent controls the net, you are not sure you can drive a low shot when you shoot. Force them to move backwards and hit the top of their heads, which is the most demanding shot in the game.
To sum it up: Control the net and win your points by hitting the middle in the opponent’s feet or mind.
Last point: Avoid the obsession of alleys
Attempting to shoot down an opponent’s alley is one of the lowest shots in doubles. Why:
The alley is just 54 Inches wide, plus the net at the end is higher than the center. Stand on the baseline, drop and hit ten balls, aiming at the alley. You will see how difficult it is to execute the shot.
To hit an alley, you usually have to change the direction of the ball. This is not an easy task.
If you are not playing perfectly, you will offer your opponent two simple options to beat you: They can shoot in the middle or drill into your partner.
If your opponent, you should hit an alley in three situations:
Let it open.
Poor volley
Active poaching
exist 4.0At level or above, the first two situations have largely disappeared. Experienced players do a good job of covering up their alleys and volleys. Take a quick look and if the player hasn’t moved to cover his alley, go. But if he has, don’t be stubborn, go back to the game and continue with that.
In advanced doubles, the only time to target alleys is net players actively poaching. Then, occasional alley or body shots will help keep your honest.
