One look at tee shot accuracy data on the PGA Tour confirms what the GOLF equipment team has known for months: TaylorMade’s Qi10 drivers are great.
Scottie Scheffler, Collin Morikawa and Rory McIlroy have all improved their accuracy by over 16% since switching to Qi10. Improving data is not a typo. According to the results of robotic testing conducted by GOLF in partnership with Golf Labs, few players can maintain ball speed across the face as well as the Qi10. Some models, notably the Qi10 and Qi10 Max, lose almost no distance on high toe misses. In addition to providing superior ball speed protection on high-toe misses, the 12-degree Qi10, Qi10 Max and 10.5-degree Qi10 reduced distance at all nine points on the clubface by 6 yards or less at 95 mph.
So why are these numbers so important? If you could miss anywhere on the clubface with minimal loss of distance, then it stands to reason that crazy misses wouldn’t be that crazy. This is a winning recipe for narrowing the spread and lowering everyone’s scores.
