Prince William celebrates ‘incredible’ Kate Middleton’s 43rd birthday

William sent a sweet message to his wife after Kate was diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer last year. In March 2024, Kate shared: “I had major abdominal surgery in London in January and my condition was not thought to be cancerous.”
“The surgery was successful, but post-surgery tests revealed that cancer was already present. Therefore, my medical team recommended that I should undergo a course of preventive chemotherapy, and I am now in the early stages of treatment,” she continued.
Kate completed chemotherapy in September and has since returned to work. William confirmed in November that Kate would be “doing more” in 2025.
The couple, who married in April 2011, have 11-year-old Prince George, 6-year-old Prince Louis, and 9-year-old daughter Princess Charlotte.
Last year, William reflected on the difficult year following Kate and his father, king charles iiireceiving cancer treatment.
“This has probably been the hardest year of my life,” William said at an Earthshot Awards event in November. “So it’s been really difficult trying to figure out all the other issues and get everything on track.”
In December, Kate performed her annual Christmas Together carol concert and spoke about her health battle. “I had no idea this would be the year I just had,” she told the singer Paloma Faith. “Unplanned. But I think a lot of people have been through such challenging times this year.
The Princess of Wales opened up about her battle with cancer while speaking to royal enthusiasts after a Christmas service at Sandringham on December 25.
“The number of people writing articles this year has been incredible and I think cancer really resonates with a lot of families,” Kate said, according to video obtained by the agency. Daily Mail.
