Rio Takeda leads into the final round of LPGA China with 2 strokes

China Sarnia – Japan’s Rio de Janeiro hit 39 on Saturday with a score of 69, leading in two rounds of the LPGA Blue Bay Championship on Hainan Island in southern China.

Takeda scored 9 shots of 207 in the final round of Sunday.

The 21-year-old Takeda is looking for her second LPGA Championship victory after winning the Japanese Classic four months ago in the playoffs where she died suddenly on six holes.

Takeda was two shots before Gigi Stoll, Auston Kim and Cassie Porter. Stoll shot 68 from the field, Kim finished the game with a 70, while Porter played 72.

LPGA second-ranked player Jeeno Thitikul is three shots in the four-player group. She drove 68.

Bachi, the favorite local local in China, shot 71 shots, but his pace was no more than 10 shots. Yin is the fourth-ranked player in LPGA.
