Tampa Bay Lightning acquires forward Ryder Kozak Acquired from New York Rangers for Forward Lucas Edmonds.
The 22-year-old Kozak has played 35 games for the AHL’s Hartford Wolves this season, contributing three goals and eight assists. The second-year pro totaled 12 goals and 19 assists for 31 points in 107 AHL games.
Kozak made his debut in the Calder Cup playoffs last season, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist in 10 games.
Kozak, a native of Yorkton, Saskatchewan, was drafted by the Rangers in the third round of the 2021 NHL Draft.
Edmunds, who turns 24 on Monday, has one goal and four assists in 26 games for AHL Syracuse this season. In his third professional season, Edmunds has 25 goals and 23 assists for 48 points in 120 career AHL games at Syracuse.
The North Bay, Ontario, native was selected by the Lightning in the third round of the 2022 NHL Draft.
