James opens up about impact of Los Angeles wildfires

LeBron James and his family were among thousands forced to evacuate their homes during the Los Angeles wildfires, and he is opening up about the impact for the first time.
LeBron and his family evacuated their Brentwood home, and his heart goes out to the entire community.
“There’s a lot of emotion,” James said via The Athletic. “I have several dear friends who have lost their homes in Palisades. Obviously, my heart goes out to all the families, not just in (Pacific) Palisades but in Los Angeles County and all surrounding areas, There was a lot of emotion in my heart because of the fire and things like that.
“Personally, I’ve moved on,” LeBron continued. “Personally, my family has been evacuated since Thursday night, so I’ve pretty much been living in a hotel since I got back from Dallas. So, just figuring it out. But staying strong for each other. Obviously, that’s The most important thing.
This isn’t the first time the Lakers star has had to leave his home due to wildfires. In 2019, he was also forced to leave due to a fire.
“We’ve had this experience and can lean on it a little bit,” James said. “The difference between ’19 and today is, ’19 was in the middle of the night, so we had to go immediately. We had a little time before we had to evacuate, so we were able to get something, get some belongings or whatever, get some Something that meant a lot to us but our home has been absolutely untouched since the moment we left and it is still standing and we are grateful for that.
