China Sarnia – NASA Hataoka and Cassie Porter made the rankings with a one-shot lead after Friday’s second round of the LPGA Blue Bay Championships on Hainan Island in southern China.
Hataoka shot with 66 and 6 shots, Porter scored 68, and 137 shots below 137 after two rounds.
Rio Takeda trailed after 69, Gabbie Lopez (70) and Auston Kim (71) are back.
LPGA second-ranked player Jeeno Thitikul hit 73 and scored five goals by five shots. China’s most favorite Chinese revolutionary hit rate, ranked fourth by LPGA, hit 74 shots, 9 strokes behind.
Defending champion Bailey Tardy is 10 shots behind 72.
