Space satellite tracks destructive path of 8 California wildfires

The Cooperative Research Institute for Atmospheric Research (CIRA) recently shared shocking time-lapse footage from space of the California wildfires, which ignited on Tuesday afternoon and have caused 100,000 people to flee their homes.

According to Fox News Digital, eight wildfires in the Los Angeles area: Palisades Fire, Eaton Fire, Hurst Fire, Olivas Fire, Lidia Fire, Scout Fire, Sunset Fire and Woodley Fire – Threat with at least 28,000 buildings.

Video taken by the CIRA satellite shows fence fire The outbreak occurred near Malibu and Santa Monica around 10:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday.

“The Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire continue to spread rapidly near Los Angeles, with both burning more than 10,000 acres,” CIRA wrote in a post Wednesday night.

The Palisades Fire has burned nearly 16,000 acres.

Hours later, fires broke out in Eaton and Hurst, which totaled more than 11,000 acres as of 9 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.

Other fires burning Wednesday in Los Angeles, Riverside and Ventura counties have burned more than 400 acres and are expected to continue to spread, according to officials. All areas except Lydia’s Fire have a 0% control rate.

As of Wednesday afternoon, more than 3 million people in Los Angeles County were without power, according to Fox News Digital.
