Draymond Green’s bold prediction on Jimmy Butler saga

Four-time Warriors champion Draymond Green has shared his candid thoughts on the Jimmy Butler situation in Miami.

Green said he saw Butler and the Heat coming from a mile away in a LeBron James way.

“I think they’ve definitely reached the end of their rope,” Green said on The Draymond Green Show. “Actually, I’ve been hearing over the past few years that they’re a little tired of Jimmy, and Jimmy’s a little tired of them. I think Jimmy prefers living in Miami. I’m not one of those media people who makes up stories. I’m not saying ‘enjoy’ Life in Miami”, like Jimmy is a party person, Jimmy doesn’t go out. So I’m not saying that, but living in Miami is a wonderful thing. So I think he enjoys his life more and what he does as Everything that comes with being the face of the Miami Heat.

“Again, Jimmy is a very serious guy, very serious about his craft, and he works his butt off. So I don’t want it to go the wrong way. I just think one good thing about him is that he makes it to the NBA Finals, He’s a Miami guy, and I think all of that makes what he’s going through bearable. I think it gets to the point now where you’re like, ‘What do I have left? Maybe three more years? Anyway, in three years I’m going to be in Miami for the rest of my life, so I think you’re starting to get to the point where I think Jimmy is as competitive as they come – wanting to win a championship.

Draymond went on to explain how he sees the saga playing out two different ways.

“I believe it’s going to be like this, everybody’s going to say ‘Jimmy’s going here, Jimmy’s going there’… I think Pat Riley is Pat Riley, you’ve all heard who Pat Riley is And what a story Pat Riley is, just like me,” Green shared. “I can see two things happening: I can see Pat Riley sending Jimmy Butler to a team that he absolutely hates, which is garbage. I can also see Pat Riley saying , ‘Hey, go home for the rest of the year. Go home, we’ll pay you. It’s okay, go home. I can see that scenario.

“But I don’t see that, I don’t see Jimmy coming back into their good graces and Jimmy being Jimmy. I don’t see that and I think it’s too far in the past. When things started When you get into the media, when things start to become public, it’s no longer under your control anyway. It’s completely taken over by public opinion and it’s hard to make it work. I think they’ve reached the end of the road.
