Patrick and Brittany Mahomes announce birth of third child

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes announced the birth of their third child on Monday.
The Kansas City Chiefs star and his wife announced the news on Instagram. The child’s name is Kim Ray Mahomes. Their other two children – a boy and a girl – were named Bronze and Sterling.

Brittany Mahomes has been pregnant throughout the 2024 NFL season but still managed to appear at most Chiefs home games at Arrowhead Stadium to support the quarterback and the team.
Patrick seemed worried about when the baby would be born. She’s due to give birth this week, when the Chiefs may play a playoff game. If Kansas City doesn’t have the games it needs to earn home-field advantage and a first-round bye in the playoffs, Patrick could miss the birth.

Fortunately, the Chiefs beat the Pittsburgh Steelers on Christmas Day.
“I told my wife, my pregnant wife, that I was going to get the No. 1 seed so we could have this baby,” he told Netflix’s Stacey Dales. “We got a seed.”

Now, Mahomes and the Chiefs can focus on the playoffs and pursuing a third straight Super Bowl title.
