Cure your schizophrenia with this clever trick

Anti-leaf tip Parker McLachlin
@shortgamechef
When you’re frustrated, smoothing out your short game can feel like an impossible task. But you can fix those shaky, wonky shots in your game with this clever tip from Parker McLachlin, one of Golf’s 100 Most Noteworthy Coaches.
McLachlin believes that tapping your toes is a good way to treat cracking sounds. In the clip below, he explains that this technique works because it helps you “turn off” your mental side and take your focus away from the attack.
This isn’t just good for your mental game. McLachlin said his toe-tapping action will also help improve his weight position when chipping.
“If your weight is too focused on the front foot and you’re trying to tap with your toes, it’s really difficult,” McLachlin said.

To try McLachlin’s toe-tapping technique, go into the normal chip setting. Lift the club to the top, tap your toe, and continue the downswing. Take a few practice swings and try out different rhythms to find one that works for your game. Then, place it on the ball and start making crisp, solid contact.
