After departure, Delta flew to Charlotte, North Carolina

The second flight originated in Charlotte, North Carolina, and returned many days after reporting mechanical problems shortly after taking off.
The airline told Fox News Digital that Delta Air Lines flight 3067 departed from Charlotte Douglas International Airport at around 10:15 a.m.
A few minutes after the flight, a mechanical problem was reported and the plane returned to Charlotte.

“According to safety procedures, the pilots of the DL3067 returned to Charlotte after reporting mechanical problems on their way to Atlanta,” a Delta spokesman said. “We apologize to customers for their delay in their travel plans.”
The airline said neither 71 passengers nor five crew members were injured.
Passengers are booked on other flights to Atlanta.
American Airlines AAL1216 flew to Charlotte on Tuesday and headed to Palm Beach International Airport when it turned back.

Queen City News reported that airport officials said the plane ended the “emergency” after landing.
The plane landed in Charlotte at 3:19 pm for 1 hour and 26 minutes in the air
The airline told the media that the plane returned due to “maintenance” issues.

“The flight landed safely and collected from the gate under its own authority. The aircraft was cancelled service, inspected by our maintenance team, and the customer boarded the replacement aircraft to continue using the PBI,” the American Airlines statement said.
