Calum Hill

Johannesburg – Scottish golfer Calum Hill scored par on the second playoff hole to surpass South African rivals Jacques Kruyswijk and Shaun Norris and won Joburg on Sunday.
The Houghton Golf Club had an extra hole in the background of the Thunder and Lightning, and all three players knocked the first playoff hole (18 on the 4th) to get back to the tee.
Norris led the way with four shots overnight, hitting his second shot from a fairway bunker on the hill, while Hill dropped his birdie putt off the green, hitting his second shot.
Kruyswijk needs to roll a par putt from 3 feet to extend the playoffs, but push it to the right.
Hill ranked 286th, winning his second European Tour title – the first one was the 2021 Cazoo Classic.
He scored eight with 62, setting the club’s goal at 14 and first joined the playoffs by Kruyswijk (66), who sought a second win in three weeks after winning the magical Kenya Open last month before winning two of his birdies in the last three holes, 70 rounds in his two holes.
Norris bids for a wire-to-wire victory, winning the Alfred Dunhill title in December.
