Sailor, Garrett Hill agrees to minor league deal

Sailors agree to a minor league agreement with rescuers Garrett Hillaccording to MLB.com transaction tracker. The former Tiger Right elected minor league free agent in November.
Hill, 29, pitched for Detroit between 2022-23. He recorded 60 1/3 innings in 17 games two seasons ago and turned 4.03 ERA. His 15.2% strikeout rate and 11% walk percentage are not encouraging. The next year, he caught up with him as he allowed running over runs per inning and struck out in the 15 2/3 MLB framework. After that season, the Tigers dropped Hill from the 40-man roster. They quickly circled to re-sign him under the minor league agreement.
San Diego State Product opened on the injury list last season. He was restored in late May and assigned to Double-A Erie. Hill defeated nearly a third of his opponent batsman and was promoted to Triple-A Toledo a few months later. He had a tough time in the minor league top game. Hill allows 4.76 runs per nine frames over 28 1/3 frames. His strikeout rate dropped to 21.7%, while his walking speed hit a shocking 19.4% clip.
Hill is unlikely to consider Seattle’s opening day bullpen attraction. He will start the season with a superior minor and hopes to take advantage of the swaying stuff he shows in minors. Hill has a strikeout rate of 28.7% and a walk rate of nearly 11% in six minor league campaigns.
