Rio Takeda

Sanya, China – Rio Takeda scored the LPGA’s Blue Bay Championship with 64-under 64 on Sunday, winning the second LPGA title for the young Australian golfer.

The 21-year-old Takeda ended 271 in four rounds in Hainan, southern China. She opened at 69-69-69 and then opened 64 times.

Lee finished 277 with a 67, while Ayaka Furue shot further after 68, with no more than 10 shots in 278.

Four months ago, Takeda won her first LPGA title, winning the Toto Japanese Classic in the playoffs with a sudden death from six holes.

LPGA No. 2 player Jeeno Thitikul ended with a disappointing 74 shots, 13 strokes away. She ended with 284 and 4.

For China’s fourth-ranked Urn Yin, it is also a disappointing game. She finished the game with 73 and scored 19 from the winning pace.
