Tiger Woods’ 2025 debut will not be in next week’s Player Championship.
The area widely regarded as the “fifth major” of golf was released late Friday afternoon, and Woods was not one of the players listed.
The Player Championship is the first of five games this season, giving the winner a score of 750 points.

Some people think that the woods can be returned in TPC Sawgrass. He said he hoped to play more this season earlier this year and he has played in TGL games in recent weeks, as well as Florida’s competitive Seminole Pro Championship, and many other PGA Tour players.
But Woods’ mother, Kultida, died on February 4 at the age of 80, said he hasn’t performed much since then after Tuesday’s TGL game.
“I’m not really involved in it,” Woods told reporters in South Florida. “My heart is not really practicing right now. I have a lot of other things to do with the tour and trying to do other things.
“Once I start feeling better and start getting into it, I will start working on the schedule.”
Woods, who was scheduled to host the Genesis Invitational last month, hosted the invitational, but quit after his mother died. He has been active in the course, meeting with President Donald Trump in an attempt to speed up the PGA Tour’s proposed deal with the Saudi Arabian Public Investment Fund that supports Liv Golf.
Woods, 49, has not played the official tour of the PGA Tour because he missed the July Open at the Royal Troon Golf Course. He underwent a microcompression surgery in his lumbar spine to relieve pain in his lower back in mid-September, which is believed to be his sixth regression surgery in the past 10 years.
While Woods may be playing in the Masters starting April 10, it is unclear what he will play before the first official main champion of the year (if any).
