Six-time junior champion and current Liv Golf Pro Phil Mickelson recently returned to X. But he seems to have forgotten a key factor in using the platform. While you can delete posts, it’s a shame to live through screenshots.

Mickelson was reminded Tuesday when he harshly criticized the Freds’ recent comments on X and then removed it, but only after it spread across the internet through popular X golf accounts.

First, some background. The couple joined Seattle KJR 93.3 FM Interviewed by hosts Dave Mahler and Dick Fain. The couple, long-time outspoken critic of Liv Golf, expressed doubts about Liv Pros’ rejoining the PGA Tour if a final deal was reached with PIF.

But it was his comments on Leaf star Brooks Koepka that attracted Mickelson’s anger. The couple said in an interview that he often talked to Koepka. He then claimed that Brooks wanted to abandon Liv and return to the PGA Tour.

“I’ve been talking to Brooks Koepka. I love Brooks Koepka. And, except that I’ve been talking to him all the time, I won’t say anything – where are you playing next, when you go, all of this stuff wants to come back – he wants to come back, I’ll say that. I believe he really wants to come back for the tour,” the couple said KJR 93.3 FM.

Mickelson, the core figure created by Liv, couldn’t help but respond. On Tuesday, he posted a tweet that he is now deleted, saying the couple’s comments on Koepka were “low-level assholes.”

“If it’s not true, he damages the relationship he cares about. If it’s true, he strips Brooke of control over the schedule and narrative. Either way, it’s Fred’s low-level asshole,” Mickelson wrote.

Mickelson’s argument is simple. According to him, couples are either interested in Koepka back to the PGA Tour interest, which could threaten their relationship. Or, the couple jumped into the gun and revealed Koepka’s personal thoughts.

Without any news from Koepka, you have to decide for yourself whether Mickelson’s comments are out of place. The fact that Mickelson deleted the position at least shows that he regretted sending the position.

As for possible unification between the PGA Tour and LIV, there are rumors that the final agreement can be reached immediately, which will allow Liv Pros to compete on the tour this year.
