Entrepreneur Serena has expanded her sports portfolio to become a co-owner of a new team.

The former world number one Serena is Toronto rhythm, The new extended WNBA franchise will be broadcasted in 2026.
The franchise said in a statement announcing Serena’s ownership that tennis legends will play an active role as owners.
Serena Williams said: “I am very happy to announce my ownership in The Toronto Tempo, the first team in the Canadian WNBA. It’s about showing the true value and potential of female athletes.
“I have always said that Women’s Sports is an incredible investment opportunity. I’m excited to be working with Larry and companies across Canada to create a new WNBA franchise and legacy.”
Four-time Olympic gold medalist Serena bounced a tennis ball and became basketball in a new video of announcing her own ownership stake.
This is Serena’s second stake in a sports franchise.
