T-shirt time for round 4
PGA National finally got back a little bit on Saturday during the third round of Cognitive Classic in Palm Beach.
With the wind undulating and the green greens rising, Bear Trap gained the best of many of the players who remained ahead in Saturday’s third round.
Rickie Fowler was denied the invitation. Then he stressed

First, Taylor Montgomery reached the 15th hole in the third stroke and immediately threw his tee into the water. Montgomery again fell short of the third in the fall zone and got stuck between the two rocks. After returning to the descending area, Montgomery finally found the land and made the four-legged little Ji lose the lead. Montgomery responded with two birdies in his last three holes, ending with a 13-shot lead below 54 holes.
A few minutes later, Jesper Svensson entered the 15th, slapped his T-shirt on the green and entered the bunker. But Svensson’s adventure on the 15th has just begun.
He exploded on the green for a second time and ended up with a three bogey six. Unlike Montgomery, Svenson did not rebound. He followed him three times on back-to-back labels of 16 and 17, and then bogeying 18.
Then there is Michael Kim, who puts the leader on the 15th tee. His T-shirt shot drifted to the right, hitting the top of the rock wall guarding the front of the green. The ball pops out of the rock on the right and lands in the mud. Lucky break allows Kim to play the second inning instead of heading to the down zone. He took off his shoes, fryed the ball from the muddy mud to the other side of the green, and cheated twice.
That lucky break saved Kim at least one shot, he stabilized the boat with 16 and 17, entering the house with 15 shots below 15 before birding at 18, shooting 54 holes leader Jake Knapp.
Among those who haven’t been bitten by the bear trap are Russell Henry (under 14), Rickie Fowler (under 13) and Daniel Berger (under 12), all of whom will try to pin their ears to grab the trophy on Sunday.
