WTA Doha champion Anisimova, debuts in the top 20

The long-awaited top 20 Amanda Anisimova Here! The American became the lowest champion in Doha women’s singles history on Saturday, and two days later she made her debut in the Tour’s top 20 (+23).
Anismova beat Doha’s top 30 players in the final before ranking No. 37 with Jelena Ostapenko, who put her The previous career was ranked 21st.

Anisimova started in 2024 at World No. 373 after a seven-month hiatus in 2023 due to mental health reasons.
Anisimova won her third professional title on Saturday. Her defeated enemy, Jelena Ostapenko, won her first WTA 1000 final in six years, so she ranks 27th and 27th.

Rebecca Sramkova, who captured Mirra Andreeva in Doha last week, jumped four more spots in 42. The 28-year-old Slovakian keeps climbing after his debut in 2024.
American Clevie Ngounoue announced her second professional ITF W50 event in Birmingham last week, up 37 positions at a career-high 253 positions. The former No. 1 teenager and Wimbledon women’s champion will turn 19 in July.
