Have the Warriors improved since Stephen Curry’s “medium” comments?

For a team built on a dynasty like the Warriors, it can be hard to admit when you’re just mediocre.

For Stephen Curry, that moment came after a loss to the Cavaliers on Dec. 30, saying, “As the kids say, we’re in the middle of the pack right now. We’re just very average.

Longtime teammate Draymond Green couldn’t agree more and hopes Curry’s comments can help inspire the Warriors.

“Listen, when [Curry] When I read it, I said, “Oh.” I sat down and started thinking about it,” Green said on The Draymond Green Show. “I thought, ‘Yeah, I understand what he’s saying. I understand where he’s coming from. We were definitely .500, in the middle of the pack, very middle of the pack. We heard what he had to say, and I think we played better from that point on. It’s a little better. But again, it still has to equal stacked wins, and we’re not there yet…

“Like he said, when you go through this, you never want to really accept that you’re in mid-table, or that you’re not a good team, or whatever. It’s a hard pill to swallow and we haven’t accepted it yet. It, because we still think we have a chance to right the ship, but it’s hard to just step up and say, ‘Hey, there’s really an elephant in the room – we’re in the middle right now. So what now? Now that we can admit this, what is [do]We have to fix this and get better.

Unfortunately for the Warriors, the team is still in a crazy middle of the pack, having gone 3-3 since Curry’s comments.

But Draymond thinks the sooner the Warriors accept their middle-of-the-pack status, the better off they’ll be.

“The other thing about it is it also gives people confidence because it gives them the freedom to say, ‘Yo, yeah, no pressure. This is what we need to do. Yeah, that’s right, ” Green said. “So they don’t have to bear the stress of what we’re doing, you know? Because that’s one thing–you’re here [to the Warriors] You feel like you need to take the pressure we’ve been having, but that’s not the reality, man. So I think that helps too.
