Bodybuilder Jodi Vance dies: Coach says she made a “serious mistake”

Bodybuilder Jodi Vance died last Thursday in Columbus, Ohio.

Vance is only 20 years old.

Vance’s family posted on social media the cause of the Arnold Sports Day heart attack.

“Her heart stopped due to complications of severe dehydration,” Vance reads. “Despite all the efforts the hospital has made, they are still unable to resurrect here.

“She is a beautiful person inside and out and misses her every day. It’s suddenly and unexpected. Give your family time to deal with the loss of peace. If anyone endures anything from it, put your health first.”

According to TMZ Sports, Vance is not competing on stage at Arnold Sports Festival, but on stage.

Vance’s coach Justin Mihaly alleged in an Instagram video that he knew the causes of severe dehydration, which ultimately led to a fatal heart attack: “Extremely dangerous substance.”

“Jody made a serious mistake,” Mihali said in the video. “Jody used two extremely dangerous substances to improve her physique – I just for the Arnold Expo – in the case of my knowledge, my recognition, without the knowledge and recognition of my family. … There is no reason she should be dehydrated.”

Mihari said he had agreed to Vance’s mother, Jenny, posted an Instagram video explaining what he believed was causing severe dehydration.

Mihaly continued in the video: “If you believe we can best respect Jodi, you are welcome to blame me for the blame.”

Vance recently ranked third in the 2024 NPC campaign in Texas.
