Lee Zeldin announced Tuesday that the Environmental Protection Agency is ending the $20 billion grant grant from Biden’s climate and clean energy projects.

“Stop $20 billion in taxes in external financial institutions to limit government oversight, with only eight passes, politically linked, unlimited, dragging your money out of your money in some cases,” Zeldin said in a video posted to X.

The money has been frozen, he said, noting that the Justice Department and the FBI are investigating.

The plan has been approved by Congress under the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act, formerly known as the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund, but is often called the Green Bank. Two initiatives, worth $14 billion and $6 billion, aim to provide grants to nonprofits, community development banks and other groups to focus on disadvantaged communities.

The eight nonprofits awarded this amount include the Green Capital Alliance, the Alliance of Climate United Funds, Power Forward Community, Opportunity Finance Network, Grace and Justice Climate Fund. These organizations have worked with U.S., UN-Habitat and Community Protection Companies that include rewiring.

The EPA “just notified eight recipients who received the $20 billion in Biden’s EPA “Golden Bar” that their grants have been terminated!” Zeldin wrote on X.

Zeldin quoted reports in his video that the group power forward community, linked to Democrat Stacey Abrams, received $2 billion in reports, after a total revenue of just $100 a year ago.

He also said the founding director of the EPA program distributed $5 billion to his former employer after he formulated legislation to create the program in the White House.

“These two examples are just the tip of the iceberg,” Selding said. “I’m here to report to the American people, and as of today, I’ve officially terminated these grant agreements. Not only is the EPA’s right to fully entitle to this action, but frankly, we have no choice.”

He continued: “This termination is based on opposition to program integrity, objections to the reward process, programmatic fraud, waste and abuse, and misalignment of the agency’s priorities, which together undermine the fundamental and statutory objectives of the award.”

Zeldin said the “only way” to reduce waste, increase supervision and meet the intent of the law is to reduce the intent of the law by termination of the grant. He said it was his “firm commitment” to President Donald Trump, Congress and the American people.

“EPA will be the special steward of your taxes again. I will have no other way,” Selding said.
