Wroclaw, Poland’s fourth-largest city, has been ranked as a top mid-sized European city and offers numerous attractions for visitors seeking an alternative summer city break.

The new route will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays, offering flexibility for weekend trips and mid-week travel.

This service complements Wizz Air’s existing flights from London Luton to Wroclaw. With the addition of the Gatwick route, Wizz Air will increase its total weekly flights between London and Wroclaw to 11.

The expanded service reflects growing demand for travel between the UK and Poland. Wizz Air UK, noted as the second most punctual airline in the UK, continues to strengthen its presence at London Gatwick.

The £26.99 starting fare makes the historic Polish city an affordable destination for British travellers.

Situated on the Odra River, Wroclaw is spread across 12 islands connected by 130 bridges. The city boasts riverside parks and abundant Gothic architecture to explore.

For tourists, the town square – Rynek – is a top destination, alongside “Cathedral Island” and the National Museum, which offer insights into Polish history. A unique feature of Wroclaw is the collection of gnome statues scattered throughout the Old Town, adding charm to the city experience.

The location is ideal for travellers planning a European tour, being just a short trip away from Dresden, Prague or Kraków.
