Why Walmart recalled 2,000 boxes of value-priced chicken soup

According to an announcement from Walmart, family size 48-ounce chicken soup boxes have been removed from some Walmart store shelves because the sterile paper used in the cartons “may compromise the sterility of the product,” causing the product to spoil. bureau. The brand’s manufacturer, Tree House Foods Inc., issued a voluntary recall and there have been no reports of illnesses caused by the product.
The chicken soup boxes are sold in more than 200 Walmart stores in nine states: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Oklahoma, Tennessee and Texas. A total of 2,023 boxes of chicken soup are being recalled and customers who may have purchased the product should check their cartons.
