In a recent incident in an affluent Ohio community, a neighbor called real estate developer Mike Jenkins to ask if he actually lived in his home. The incident went viral after his home security cameras captured the dispute, which sparked debate in the community about racial profiling and how neighbors treat each other.

The incident occurred as a woman, later identified as Michelle Bishop, was jogging with her two young children. When a car slowly approached them, Bishop felt threatened and ran to the nearest house, which happened to be Jenkins’ residence. When Jenkins arrived and identified himself as the homeowner, Bishop responded, “I don’t believe that,” before leaving the house with the children.
Bishop was heavily criticized online after the video went viral, with many accusing her of racism. Bishop later issued a statement denying any racist intent and said she was simply concerned for the safety of her children. Bishop added that she was unable to watch Jenkins play at the time of the incident because it was dark outside and that she had reached out to her neighbor to apologize for what happened.
