What should the North Korean troops do if they fight Ukraine on the front line?
Ukrainian and U.S. officials say North Korean troops have retreated from the front line due to devastating losses.
Ukrainian special forces said Kim Jong Un’s troops have not yet appeared in the battlefield within three weeks.
The National Intelligence Agency said the reports were supported by South Korean spy agencies, which said North Korean troops retreated from the war front around mid-January.
“Since mid-January, there has been no indication that North Korean troops are involved in the fight in the Kursk region of Russia,” NIS said.
The agency said severe casualties in the North Korean army appeared to be one of the reasons for the absence of North Korean troops, adding that efforts were being made to determine the exact cause.
Pyongyang sent about 11,000 soldiers in the war effort of Vladimir Putin last November, four months after Kyiv’s troops occupied Russian territory in Kursk.
They quickly gained a fierce reputation, “promising” soldiers, who often chose to commit suicide rather than surrender, but were hampered by tactical and language barriers.
In January, South Korea’s National Intelligence Agency said 300 of Kim Jong Il’s 300 soldiers were killed and another 2,700 were injured since joining the conflict.
Officials told New York Times The withdrawn troops may return after receiving reinforcements and additional training.
According to a video shared by Zelensky (Ukrainian Presidential Office) a North Korean soldier fights for Russia in Ukraine
The last note of the North Korean soldiers killed in the battle shows that they are forced to adapt to the cruel tactics of Russian commanders.
One entry describes how Pyongyang’s troops were ordered to stand within seven meters of Kiev drones as cover soldiers tried to shoot them down.
On a notebook page, a rough drawing shows a Stickman soldier breaking the cover to attract the drone’s attention while his two comrades wait for the shooting.
“When the bait is still, the drone will stop and will be shot down,” the soldier wrote in the handwriting of his craw feet. Wall Street Journal.
The Ukrainian Special Forces said the diary was found on December 21 and has been verified by experts and was written by a young soldier who died in a firefight with two compatriots.

It was published the day after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that Ukrainian troops captured two North Korean soldiers and proposed to exchange prisoners with Pyongyang.
In the video shared by Mr. Zelensky, two soldiers appeared to be injured.
One of the soldiers who appeared in the video said he had no idea he was fighting in the war with Ukraine, and his commander told him it was a training.
One of the prisoners carried what Mr Zelensky claimed was “issued in the name of another person”.
