The gunman who works as a Pennsylvania hospital staff thinks there can be more to do to save his terminally ill wife

The gunman worked as an intensive care unit at UPMC Memorial Hospital in Pennsylvania, then killed a police officer and injured five more people Saturday, thinking he could save his wife, who is saving lives, for lifelong illness Life support. Law enforcement officials briefed the investigation.

Officials said the safety of Diogenes Archangel Artiz-tiz, 49, was safely evacuated from the hospital the night before after diagnosed his wife with no other treatment. It is not clear whether she has died.

York County District Attorney Tim Barker said in a press conference Saturday that Archangel-Ortiz “was previously connected with another person’s medical purpose in the ICU, But his office declined to provide other information Monday.

Archangel-Artiz-tiz returned to the hospital Saturday morning, carrying a backpack with a gun, zipper strap and tape, put staff hostages and then was killed in a gun battle with police.

The gunman opened fire and attacked three officers, killing one, and was later identified as West York City Police Department official Andrew Duarte.

The 30-year-old officer’s death was ruled as a homicide, the York County Coroner’s Office said in a press release to social media Monday. Duarte died after being shot to the torso, the press release said.

According to a service to celebrate Dualte Life in York on Monday, a dispatched staff at the Living Word Community Church in Red Lion, Pennsylvania, on Friday, February 28. In addition to his parents, Duarte survived his girlfriend and several members of the extended family.

According to Barker, doctors, nurses and custodians in the intensive care unit suffered gunshot wounds and a fourth employee was injured in the fall. As of Sunday, they “have been medically stable and progressing in recovery”, the hospital said in a statement.

UPMC Memorial spokesman Susan Manko told CNN that no patients were injured.

Pennsylvania police led the investigation with the assistance of the York County District Attorney’s Office.

A spokesman for the state police department said no additional information will be released until the investigation is completed, but said that all details of the incident will be investigated.
