Vance warns us that if Putin disagrees with the Ukrainian peace agreement, we will adopt sanctions, military action

Vice President JD Vance reportedly warned Thursday that it would guarantee peace in Ukraine if President Vladimir Putin did not negotiate on an agreement.
In a conversation with the Wall Street Journal, the vice president said that if Russia fails to negotiate sincerely, it will send U.S. troops to Ukraine “at the table.”
Vance said, “Economic tools with leverage [and] Of course, the military tools the United States can use against Putin.
“I think it’s going to be a deal, and it’s going to shock a lot of people,” Vance told the Wall Street Journal.

Vance’s comment comes the day before the expected meeting with Munich Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. European leaders will closely monitor the discussion to measure President Trump’s immediate negotiations to end the Russian-Ukrainian war, which lasted nearly three years.
President Trump introduced what he said in a “long” call with Putin on Wednesday, including Russian leaders’ agreement to negotiate “immediately” on the Ukrainian war.

Trump wrote on his social media platform Truth Social that the two leaders “agree to work very closely”.
“We also agreed to have their respective teams start negotiations immediately, and we will first call President Zelenskyy of Ukraine to inform him of the conversation, which is what I will do now. I have asked Secretary of State Marco Rubio CIA John Ratcliffe (Cia John Ratcliffe), head of negotiations by National Security Advisor Michael Waltz and Ambassador and Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, which I think will be successful.”

Vance and Secretary of State Marco Rubio plans to bring the U.S. delegation to the Munich Security Conference, and Ukraine’s future will be the top item on the agenda.
Trump is vague about his specific intentions – apart from suggesting that a deal could lead to Ukraine being forced to ced the territory Russia has seized since its annexation of Crimea in 2014.

“The Ukrainian war must end,” Trump told reporters on Thursday. “Young people were killed at levels that no one has seen since World War II. It’s a ridiculous war.”
Both Trump and U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth broke Ukraine’s hopes in hopes of becoming part of NATO this week, a coalition said less than a year ago that it was “irreversible”, or Restored Russia’s captured territory and currently accounts for nearly 20% of Russia, including Crimea.

“I can’t see any way a country with Russian status can allow … they join NATO,” Trump said Thursday. “I can’t see that happening.”
When asked about his opinion Russia should give up on reaching an agreement, he pointed out that the negotiations have not yet begun, maybe Russia will give up a lot, maybe they won’t. ”
At NATO headquarters, Hegseth reiterated on Thursday, “Simply pointing out realism, like the border, will not return to what everyone wants them to be Vladimir Putin in 2014 Concessions.” He said it was a recognition of the local reality.
However, he added that neither Russia nor Ukraine would “get everything they want” and stressed “will engage in any negotiation with both.”
