US Coast Guard, New York Police Department’s recovery work has six people on board after ships tilted near Staten Island
Searches for missing persons off the New York coast were searched for a boat carrying six people on Sunday after eventually killing three people and two others hospitalized.
The U.S. Coast Guard and the New York City Police and Fire Department were involved in the rest of the boaters’ recovery efforts.
Coast Guard officials said they received a boat on the water near Breezy Point at 12:04 p.m. of the New York City 911 operator.
Three rescue vessels and an MH65 helicopter were deployed to assist with the rescue efforts of Sandy Hooker pilot and the New York Police Department’s aviation department.

Rescuers were able to recover and transport five people – two were airlifted to Staten Island University Hospital and three were taken to Coast Guard Sandy Hook.
After performing CPR, four of the five crew members did not respond. Due to these efforts, three people were declared dead, one in critical condition and the other in stable condition.

As of the early hours of Monday, the crew member’s identity has not been released.

The sixth man is believed to be still in the water after the ship capsized.
Authorities are investigating the incident and the causes of the ship’s collapse.
