Unusual winter heat peaks destroy LA temperature records

This week’s unusually warm winter weather in Southern California broke five temperature records Thursday as a powerful high-pressure system raises the thermometer to normal levels around 15 degrees higher than the region.

Downtown Los Angeles and Long Beach both hit 88 degrees of toast Thursday, breaking the 2020 86 and 84 degrees records, according to the National Weather Service.

Los Angeles International Airport had a record-breaking height of 86 degrees, while UCLA broke the record with Paso Robles at 85 degrees and 82 degrees.

There are many cooler temperatures expected Friday, with high temperatures in the 1960s and 1970s, according to the Weather Bureau.

While hot weather this week may prompt early appearances of flip-flops and sacred clothing, forecasters warn that this heat does not mean the beginning of early spring.

According to the latest views from the National Centre for Climate Forecasting, several cold and wet storms are expected to be expected to be significantly predicted by the weekend, returning the South to the pain of winter, with below-average temperatures likely to last until mid-March.

“We are going to really get back to winter in the next few days, with two to three very cold low-pressure systems coming,” said Mike Wofford, meteorologist at Oxnard National Weather Service. “It’s going to be a big change.”

The upcoming cold front is the latest example of weather whipping, which South China has been experiencing this winter.

The new year begins with severe dry and hot conditions, accompanied by fierce Santa Ana winds, which fuels one of the most expensive fires in modern history. The residents then deal with large amounts of rainwater, mudslides and freeze overnight temperatures.
