Ukraine revealed a new way to defeat Russia’s fiber -controlled FPV drone

A legendary Ukrainian military drone department said it has developed a method against increasingly fatal weapons Not being disturbed and other electronic warfare.

Magyar Birds Brigade claims that it has designed a system that uses mobile radar to provide early warning of FPV drones from several kilometers away. Once a threat is found, the unit will launch its own drone to intercept Russia’s drones before they can achieve their goals.

“The first choice of … [the] Detection and destruction [of Russian FPV fiber optic guided drones] The existence of the brigade has been used, and the brigade uses the commander of the call sign “Magyar” Robert Brovdi.

Brovdi posted a video on his telegram channel, claiming that one of his drones destroyed the FPV drone guided by Russian fiber. It is worth noting that the large valve core on the back of the Russian drone. It contains an extremely thin but strong wire that connects the drone to the controller. This ability has turned a frightening weapon into a more difficult thing to defeat. Because their communication does not degrade when it is very low to the ground or even when the structure is not degraded, as long as the data cable is intact, they can only be from the ground and enter the closed area.

When Brovdi touts the system, he did not designate which mobile radar is using its device. It may be a microwave radar system, just like a system used in the KU band for anti -drone applications. The short wavelength of the radar is optimized into a relatively slow drone. The disadvantage is that they are very limited, only a few miles. Therefore, these sensors are very suitable for detecting and tracking drones, but they do not provide too much warning, and the process can quickly enter and exit the detection range. Nevertheless, if these radar can be pushed forward, you can conduct key detection of the passing FPV drone in the defined area, and you can find the place where the anti -FPV drone that responds quickly can be repaired.

The system of Magyar Birds is the latest development between Ukraine and Russian FPV drones and countermeasures. As the FPV drone becomes more and more prominent on the battlefield, they are now comparable to the importance of traditional artillery.

Both sides have been using drones to take out other drones. The ability first appeared in the sky in Ukraine in October 2022. At that time, the Mavic drone of Ukraine shot down the Russian drone. You can capture one of the first such battles in the video you see below.

Last summer, Ukraine’s video used its FPV drone to take out the larger, more expensive Russian surveillance and strike drone. Today, Ukraine has a variety of drones for hunting other drones, and Russia is developing and deploying similar systems. You can see one of the encounters in the video below.

The FPV drone Hunting Fiber FPV drone uses the latter’s biggest advantage to a certain extent and turns it into vulnerability. Although the cables prevent them from being blocked, the extra weight of the large wire shaft required for long -distance operations will slow their speed, which makes them unable to manipulate. This is pointed out in a video released by Magyar Birds in the unit.

Brovy urged Ukraine to catch up with the mobile radar that could detect small drones in the front line in his telegram post.

These same radars have great demand globally, and they have exploded the threat of drones even in the peace region. They can even be found on super yachts. These same systems provide awareness of drone activities around military bases and other key devices, and many types of regions still lack them.

It is also worth noting that these sensors, especially commercial -grade sensors, are vulnerable to detection and attack, because they can be detected, the triangle structure can be quickly targeted at emissions. Deploying such sensors from the crew members to the unwaement of land vehicles can help their survivability, but these systems are still very fragile.

Given that Ukraine fights in its own country/region plus the territory in the Kurlsk region in Russia, it seems that it can be used as a defensive system that defends key areas or helps to pave the way. Nevertheless, their demand still points to the near future. Regardless of the existence of troops, especially on the active battlefield, advanced anti -countless sensors will be vital to absolutely.
