U.S. Department of Energy launches IX Title Investigation in Maine after Governor’s Conflict with Transgender Athletes After Trump

this U.S. Department of Education Allegedly allegedly disregarded President Donald Trump’s executive order on transgender athletes in the girls and women’s sports, conducting an IX-title investigation into Maine’s doe and state school district.

Maine joins California and Minnesota as states that allegedly continue to allow biological males to compete with biological females.

“The letter also informed MDOE that the OCR is investigating Maine Schools Administrative District #51 (MSAD #51) after it was reported that Greely High School, a school within its jurisdiction, is continuing to allow at least one A male student came to participate in the girl category.”

Trump and Maine Governor Janet Mills clashed with trans women in sports Friday, and Trump told her at the White House that she had to follow his executive order, or “You No federal funds will be obtained” replied: “We will see you in court.”

“I comply with state and federal laws,” Trump said, “if you don’t do that, federal funds simply don’t.

Trump vows to cut off federal funds to Maine, refusing to comply with the order “no men in the women’s movement”

“Maine will not be intimidated by the president’s threat,” Mills said in a statement Friday.

Trump vowed Thursday not to give Maine any federal funding if the state continues to allow biological men to participate in girls and women’s track and field.

“They are still saying, ‘We want men to play for women’s sports,’ and I can’t believe they are doing that… So we’re not giving them any federal funding until they clean up,” Trump said.

Acting Assistant Assistant Secretary Craig Trainor added as part of the U.S. Department of Energy’s announcement: “Maine will give you confidence that it treats women and girls in track and field sport without a choice – that is, It must comply with its state laws and allow male athletes to compete with women. Let me make it clear: If Maine wants to continue to receive federal funding from the education department, it must follow Chapter IX. Female athletes are also an OCR option.

USDOE is also investigating San Jose, Upenn and Massachusetts high schools. Trans athletes Blaire Fleming and Lia Thomas starred for SJSU and Ivy League School, respectively, and Thomas won the NCAA Class I championship in 2022.

Trump signed an executive order to “remove men from women’s movement” on February 5.
