Well, Victoria Fuller, Hannah Ann Sluss, and (sorta) Madison Prewett finally got some major alone time with Peter during fantasy suites, but the whole episode was extremely awkward to say the very least. From Madison’s ultimatum for Peter to Victoria’s shady comments about Hannah Ann and Peter’s date, The Bachelor supplied all the drama last night.
And with a break in tradition, some of the biggest moments of the episode came from the three women having to room together throughout the whole thing. But fret not. The Bachelor isn’t running low on money and skimping on fancy hotels for the contestants. According to Chris Harrison, the producers kept Hannah, Victoria, and Madison together throughout the one-on-ones to force them “into this uncomfortable zone” and “into making a decision.”
The host told the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast that the decision also had a ton to do with Peter’s decision-making skills or lack thereof. He explained:
But this wasn’t all on Peter, in Chris’s opinion. He also revealed that Madison and the way she waited to tell Peter about her faith-based decision shared some responsibility for this move. “And this situation was pretty extraordinary because Peter had kicked the can down the road, but this time, also Madison had,” Chris added.
Basically, Chris and the producers thought this was the best way to show the women’s perspective and for it all to come out “because if we get to proposal week [and Peter doesn’t know], then this guy is really screwed and there’s no chance this works.”
