Tess teased that their dance-off might happen this weekend, but admitted she was not sure she could trust Claudia with lifts.

During the podcast episode, hosted by former finalist Joe Sugg and producer Kim Winston, a listener was keen to know who was the best dancer out of the two beauties.

Tess said: "Do you know what, Claud keeps promising me that we will do a showdown dance one year. I mean it might appear at Blackpool, who knows!

"But until then we will never know. As much as I do love Claud I'm not sure I trust her to lift me."

Tess was also asked to pick her favourite series of Strictly, with her saying: "That's such a hard one because every year I think, 'Wow, how are we going to top this, we are never going to do it?' Then somehow the next series just gets better."

She said a highlight for her was Rose Ayling-Ellis and Giovanni Pernice's silent dance routine in the 2021 series which they were given a BAFTA for.

She added: "It was just amazing. And then the year before with Bill Bailey and Rapper's Delight for me, that was a (top) moment.

The presenter also reflected on how her two daughters with husband Vernon Kay, Phoebe and Amber, have grown up with the show.

She said: "It's unbelievable, my girls are 18 and 13 now and I was pregnant with each one during the show.

Strictly contestants are preparing to appear at the famous Blackpool Tower Ballroom this Saturday (November 19).

Eight couples remain after Tony Adams and his partner Katya Jones withdrew from the series following an injury last weekend.
