Pasha Kovalev has emotionally remembered his former Strictly Come Dancing partner Caroline Flack a year on from her tragic death.

Caroline was found dead at her London home in February 2020 at the age of 40, with her death later being ruled as suicide.

The former Love Island host competed on the hit BBC dancing show in 2014 alongside Pasha, 41, eventually lifting the glitter ball trophy, beating fellow finalists Simon Webbe and Frankie Bridge.

But Pasha has now hilariously revealed how Caroline wasn't content with taking home just her own trophy, and stole his during the series finale's after party, during an appearance on This Morning.

Host Demot O'Leary, who was a close friend of Caroline's, asked Pasha what he remembered most about her, who he adorably called their "tiny dancer".

Pasha said: "Obviously you just remember the best things. She was absolutely bubbly, absolutely fantastic to be around.

"I remember she stole my glitter ball! After, at the after party after the final, I looked at my bag and it was gone!

"Actually, she took it… I had to go and chase her and grab it off her."

Dermot laughed: "That doesn't surprise me about her at all! I'd known her for many years – we started out together, we had the same agent for a very long time.

"I never, ever saw her happier than when she was doing that show, it was just her happy place."

Pasha replied: "She got a lot of confidence at that time, and that boost obviously carried her through."

Dermot's co-host Alison Hammond, who competed against Caroline on the series, went on to recall how she ended up in the dance off of the series alongside Aljaž Škorjanec, who joined Pasha on the sofa.
