Janette Manrara has stepped down as a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing this year, but this doesn't mean she is out of the loop in regards to all the latest show gossip.
After replacing Zoe Ball as host of its spin-off Strictly: It Takes Two, Janette is still very much entwined with the dancing series.
The Miami-born dancer will be taking over as presenting hole alongside Rylan Clark-Neal, who aim to get all the backstage mayhem on camera.
The talented mover chatted to the Daily Star about what to expect from this year's lineup and who looks like they could be taking the lead already.
Janette, 37, said: "The celebs are all incredible; I was assistant choreographer to the celeb dance, you know the one they do for the first time in their auditions.
"And I did get to meet all of them and see the partnerships, which is great cos for Takes Two because I’ve met them already and the ice has been broken.
"They are all good, Rhys is incredible and Adam Peaty is the nicest guy in the world. The girls – Katie is incredible and Judi personality is insane and she can dance. Sarah is the nicest woman ever.
"You know how to is on Strictly they start one way and end up like 'oh actually' and you change your mind, there are some really good ones this year."
The new host has also opened up on having to separate from her husband ahead of the new season.
Married to Strictly pro dancer Aljaz Škorjanec, 31, Janette explained her husband had to temporarily move out due to the show and explained how it feels to be apart.
She continued: "I know he’s rehearsing and he’s very good. Yeah but it’s ok we are used to it, it’s been 11 weeks apart to do the series and I couldn’t see him.
"Then it was even harder because when I saw him at the studio on Friday and Saturday I couldn’t even squeeze him and it was worse. But now I can.
"Even when we are apart we come home to each other so it’s nice."
When quizzed on whether the pair dance together at home, she excitedly revealed that they do "of course".
Janette said: "Yes! We do everything together and now in the whole time that we have been together in the past 10 years, it's the first time we aren’t doing the same thing and being together 24/7.
"But we have our tour coming up next year. It was delayed twice cos of Covid but I did get to watch all of the professionals do their dances and my heart was like 'ahhh…'"
