Rita Ora’s no stranger to experimenting with her look, but while she can pull off pretty much any hairdo with style, directors just keep insisting on putting her in bob wigs for film roles.
The singer and actor, 28, has been seen shooting scenes for the upcoming Oliver Twist remake alongside Jude Law’s son, Rafferty Law in London, where she was seen taking on the role of Dodger.
While we’re all excited to see Rita take on the big screen again, the hair department have done her seriously dirty with the wig they’ve put her in.
Reminiscent of the super-short black bob Rita had to wear in the Fifty Shades Of Grey trilogy for her role as Mia Grey, this platinum blonde number is also among the less flattering hairpieces she’s been put in for a role.
Rita and Rafferty, who plays Oliver Twist, were photographed filming dramatic scenes in the streets, with Rita changing costumes from a police outfit to a camo jacket and tartan scarf look.
The film, which is a Sky Cinema project, has no official release date as of yet, but will also star Michael Caine as Fagin and Lena Headey as Sikes.
David Walliams is also taking on the role of Losberne, while Franz Drameh plays Batesey and Sophie Simnett is Red.
As well as Rita and Raff bowling around the streets of London, several extras driving Deliveroo bikes were also seen shooting scenes – so it looks to be a very modern remake of the Charles Dickens classic indeed.
A source close to the project told the MailOnline: ‘Shooting for the new film starts today and everyone is very excited to get started.
‘Twist is a modern interpretation of Charles Dickens’ Oliver in which the title character has been reinvented as a streetwise artist living on the streets of modern-day London.
‘Rafferty impressed with his screen presence and his edginess brings a whole new dimension to the role of Oliver.
‘It’s an all-star cast with David in the mix after arriving at today’s first rehearsal – not to mention Rita and Sir Michael Caine.’
While we can’t wait to see her take on the Artful Dodger, we’re really hoping the next film Rita gets cast in will give her a better ‘do. She deserves it.
