Bridgerton actress Phoebe Dynevor has revealed that she fast forwarded through the racy sex scenes in the show when showing it to her family.
Phoebe admitted that she was “on high alert” for intimate moments when she held a screening for them at home last year.
And to ensure her blushes, Phoebe, daughter of Coronation Street actress Sally Dynevor, ensured she had full charge of the remote control.
Phoebe said her mum is proud of her performance, which has seen her become a global Netflix star in just a few weeks.
Phoebe said: “She is very proud and excited. I watched the show with the whole family, even the grandparents managed to watch it.
“I had to sit there and fast forward on high alert with the remote control. We managed it just about.”
Bridgerton blew up across the world thanks to Netflix releasing it during the festive season.
It’s estimated over 70m households have tuned in to watch the English period drama about a couple’s rollercoaster road to romance since the show was released in December.
Meanwhile, the creator of the hit Netflix series, Chris Van Dusen, has hinted that the romp-filled drama could continue for another seven seasons.
He told Collider: “This being a family of eight children and there being eight books, I would love to be able to focus and really tell stories and love stories for all the Bridgerton siblings. For each character, for sure. I would love that.“
Whilst the first book focuses on Daphne's quest for a husband, the second book, named The Viscount Who Loved Me, follows the adventures of Anthony, the eldest son, as he tries to find a wife.
The story of Daphne and her husband Simon Basset also continues, as well as Portia Featherington learning to survive without her husband, who died at the end of the first season.
Bridgerton is available to watch on Netflix.
