In the first episode of 2019 Great British Bake Off Paul Hollywood is hot with the innuendo.
Is it getting heated in the kitchen or is it just us?
At several points in the first episode viewers were left in stitches with Paul’s cheeky quips alongside Prue Leith, Noel Fielding, and Sandi Toksvig.
People, please, this is a family-friendly episode!
Worst of all the mention of a ‘furry garden’ got everyone the giggles after Paul accidentally misheard ‘fairy garden’.
As baker Helena Garcia began explaining her impressive plans for the Showstopper challenge, she said she had a fairy garden as a child which is influencing what she wanted to create tonight.
She was asked: ‘You’ve got a what?’
Feeling her message isn’t coming across, she said: ‘Is it my accent? Oh Paul I know what you’re thinking!’
Prue added, upon hearing how big it was going to be: ‘So it’s a fairy mountain.’
With that, Paul had to turn away as he stifled his laugher. Noel joined him as he walked away from the baking bench.
‘I can’t do it!’ he explained as everyone lost it.
One giggling viewer loved his accent as they wrote on Twitter: “‘How big is your fairy garden?’ in Paul Hollywood’s Liverpudlian accent has killed me.’
Phil’s rocket shaped cake also got Paul referring to the thing in a more phallic way, as the viewers had a giggle at the whole thing.
Do we dare mention Prue explaining how one cake had her ‘dribbling’? No? Okay, then…
Great British Bake Off returns 9pm Tuesday on Channel 4.
