Jesy Nelson sees out 2020 'with a bang' after quitting Little Mix as she watches The Inbetweeners tucked up in bed

JESY Nelson has proved she's just like the rest of us this New Year's Eve and enjoying a cosy night in.

The former Little Mix star, 29, was tucked up in bed watching The Inbetweeners, joking that she was seeing 2020 out "with a bang".

She posted a video of her from underneath her animal print duvet cover with the big screen TV playing the popular comedy in the background.

The hit We No Speak Americano by Yolanda Be Cool played loudly as someone – presumably her boyfriend Sean Sagar – hoisted her Pomeranian, Reggie, above the bed.

Sean cutely moved the small brown dog in time to the music to make it look like Reggie was dancing along.

Jesy captioned the Instagram story: "Let's see 2020 out with a bang."

It's been a very big 2020 for Jesy who not only split from her Love Island boyfriend Chris Hughes during the first lockdown, she also made the decision to leave Little Mix.

The singer recently stepped out of the spotlight and has been enjoying her time at home.

Jesy sensationally quit girl band Little Mix earlier this month saying it had "taken a toll on her mental health".

She confirmed she wouldn't be returning after "extended time off" saying she found the "constant pressure" of "living up to expectations very hard".

Jesy told her followers that she was leaving Little Mix with a "heavy heart" as she reflected on the success the band have enjoyed since winning The X Factor in 2011, insisting it had been the "most incredible time" of her life.

She continued: "I can't thank you all enough from the bottom of my heart for making me feel like the luckiest girl in the world.

"You have always been there to support and encourage me and I will never ever forget it.

"The truth is, recently being in the band has really taken a toll on my mental health. I find the constant pressure of being in a girl group and living up to expectations very hard."

The remaining Little Mix stars, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirwall will continue as the group as a trio.
