James Jordan sparks fan speculation hell replace John Barrowman on Dancing On Ice after liking tweets

James Jordan has sparked fan speculation that he could replace John Barrowman on Dancing On Ice after liking a series of tweets.

It comes after it was reported that Dame Arlene Phillips was in "advanced talks" with ITV to join the judging panel after it was confirmed that John, 54, wouldn't be returning and instead hosting the All Star Musicals specials.

However, James has now set Dancing On Ice fans wild after liking a series of tweets demanding that he be one of the judges after winning the show as a contestant in 2019.

The dancer, who also appeared as a professional on Strictly Come Dancing from 2006 until 2013, went on a liking spree after it was announced that his former Strictly co-star Brendan Cole would be a contestant on the new series.

James liked one tweet which said: "You could be one of the judges? X."

While another read: "You should fill the vacant judges seat you will be brilliant."

A different one insisted: "They need you on the panel replacing John."

With another tweet adding: "Should absolutely consider taking up the spare judges chair! You'd be awesome!"

OK! has contacted ITV for comment.

It comes after Arlene, 78, who was formerly a judge on Strictly, was reported to join the Dancing On Ice judging panel for the 2022 series.

The choreographer is said to be "in advanced talks" with ITV after she was axed from Strictly Come Dancing in 2009.

Dancer Arlene's choreographer's experience is said to be seen as a "huge asset" by ITV bosses.

A TV insider said: “The fact that Arlene is a mature woman with decades of experience in the dance world is seen as a huge asset for Dancing on Ice.

"In contrast to what people see as her harsh treatment by Strictly, ITV bosses see her seniority as a brilliant way to create a diverse panel of experts on the show.

"It means the DOI judges are now made of two men and two women spanning an extensive age range," they added to The Sun Online.

ITV declined to comment when contacted by OK! at the time. Arlene's representatives are yet to respond to a request for comment.

If Arlene was to join the show, she would be judging the celebrity skaters alongside Ashley Banjo, Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean.
