I’m A Celebrity… Get me Out of Here! 2021 is nearing the end of its first week on ITV. Of course, guiding viewers through every step of the journey is Ant and Dec, the ever-present presenters of the timeless reality TV series. Since debuting in 2002, the show and stars have exploded in popularity, and this is reflected in their pay.
How much do Ant and Dec get paid?
While the production is back in Wales for another year, the show is enjoying its usual format once again.
Of course, it wouldn’t be I’m A Celebrity without Ant, 45, and Dec, 46, hosting the programme, typically chipping in on the celebrities’ struggles.
It will also come as no surprise that the pair are paid a substantial amount for presenting the hit show.
In fact, this year marks one of their biggest deals with ITV, locking them into a contract with the broadcaster.
According to The Sun, the stars earn £3.3million each for the series.
This is a staggering amount, but it pales in comparison to the overall deal they have with ITV.
It was reported that the stars have signed a three-year deal with the channel, ensuring that they are exclusive to ITV content.
This amounted to a £40million signed deal, which will be spread across numerous shows and appearances over the years.
Some of these shows include Britain’s Got Talent, Saturday Night Takeaway, Ant and Dec’s DNA Journey, and of course, I’m A Celebrity.
It was later reported by The Sun that the deal could reach £50million if the duo decides to extend the contract beyond three years.
According to Heart.co.uk, Ant and Dec’s current net worth sits at around £62 million.
Since first appearing on Byker Grove in 1989, the pair have proven to be two of the most popular stars on UK screens.
They first tried their hands at presenting in the late 1990s, initially fronting children’s shows such as CD: UK and SMTV Live.
However, it was in 2001 that the career they are known for now began, presenting Pop Idol that year.
This was quickly followed by securing Britain’s Got Talent and Saturday Night Takeaway, skyrocketing their stardom to what it is today.
The duo show no signs of slowing down as if they extend their ITV contract they’ll still be appearing on screens for years to come.
As for this year’s I’m A Celebrity, the two are enjoying a more informal year following 2020’s extensive restrictions.
They have continued to share updates with fans on Instagram, most recently sharing some fun and games during Ant’s birthday last week.
Dec posting on their page: “Happy Birthday Ant! This year’s gift really is quite something, wouldn’t you agree?!”
Dec gave him a present, only for Ant to open a large box to reveal a card saying nothing inside.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here continues daily at 9pm on ITV.
