At the end of the episode, hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly entered camp to let the know who was doing the next challenge in a bid to win star.
It was later revealed that politician Matt had unsurprisingly received the most public votes and will be taking on Tentacles of Terror.
Fans rushed to social media to share their opinion as Ant and Dec shared the news.
One fan penned: "Revenge is sweet. You halfwit."
Another added: "The public voting for Matt Hancock to get all the trials is the most British revenge I’ve ever seen."
A third person posted: "Revenge for lockdown."
While a fourth social media user said: "Matt Hancock revenge is in full swing."
Matt's arrival in camp didn't seem to go down to well with his campmates.
Pop star Boy George even said he could have quit over the introduction of Matt into camp because he almost lost his mum in the pandemic.
He told Scarlette Douglas: "You know, at the beginning of the pandemic my mum was in hospital.
"I wasn’t allowed to see her. I thought she was going to die.
"I was tweeting Greenwich hospital going, 'Please look after my mum. I used my name', I was like 'Please look after my mum.'.
"And they did, she was fine. I feel like I don’t want to be sitting here like I'm having fun with him.
"It’s difficult for me because, you know, had something happened, if my mum had gone, I wouldn’t be here now.
"I would have gone when he walked in."
He then spoke in the Bush Telegraph. Referring to his mum, he continued: “If I had lost my mum, I would go. And I feel a little bit selfish, you know, just kind of, everyone’s so nice to him and I was like Jesus, what are we gonna do?
"I don’t want to spoil this experience for myself. I’m not good at hiding what I feel. Especially when it’s something so strong."
The singer also warned Matt that he was in for a tough time.
He said: "You’re really going to get it. You’re really going to get it. Not from me. I mean just from.."
