Good Morning Britain viewers were left cringing at their TV screens after Ed Balls started to break out in dance live on-air.

The 56-year-old presenter and 52-year-old Susanna Reid were back at the helm of the ITV show on Monday (May 9).

But viewers watching the programme at home were not too impressed when show regular Ed started to dance along to the UK’s entry for Eurovision 2023.

The UK is gearing up for the biggest night in music on Saturday (May 14) when the Eurovision final takes place in Liverpool.

The semi-finals kick off on Tuesday followed by another lot on Thursday, and the music competition was all that GMB could talk about during the latest instalment of the hit ITV show on Monday.

“Now let’s hear what the UK has to offer,” said co-host Susanna, before showing viewers a clip of the tune I Wrote A Song by Mae Muller.

Cutting back to the studio, and Ed could be seen moving his hands around and dancing to the tune – causing Susanna to swiftly move on.

But Ed’s moves didn’t go amiss from viewers at home who took to Twitter to share their thoughts.

“I’m going to switch off if Ed starts dancing again,” raged one person.

Echoing their thoughts, someone else said: “FFS Ed, stop trying to dance, sitting down. It's gross.”

“Stop dancing Ed Balls,” proclaimed a third viewer, as another person quipped: “FFS ANYONE ELSE FEEL LIKE VOMITING???”

Elsewhere on the show, Ed and Susanna spoke to Love Island winner Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu about her visit to her family's home in Turkey – after an earthquake killed more than 50,000 people.

The reality star told hosts that she was left traumatised during her trip, and met a number of children who clung to her and began to call her "mum."

Ekin-Su was born in London and grew up in the Essex area of Loughton. But the beauty has said she feels close to her family roots. The actress also holds Turkish citizenship after living in Istanbul for two years.
