GMB fans furious as ITV show fails to address This Morning queue jump drama

Good Morning Britain fans called for action from the show after the ITV news programme did not address the recent accusations made against their colleagues Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Susanna Reid hosted the early morning news show with GMB regular Martin Lewis and the pair discussed the topics of the day and welcomed guest speakers into the studio.

One of the main conversations of the morning was about the cost of living crisis, but fans were left unimpressed over the scheduling.

Many of them felt that Good Morning Britain should have addressed the recent drama surrounding This Morning stars Willoughby and Schofield.

The presenting pair have been accused of “skipping the queue” while Queen Elizabeth was lying in state.

The general public were allowed to see her coffin before she was buried on Monday 19 September, which led to a large queue which snaked through central London.

The public were forced to queue for hours on end, but they were also joined by some famous faces like David Beckham and GMB host Susanna Reid.

However, Holly and Phil were able to access “in a professional capacity as part of the world’s media” so they could “report on the event,” as explained in a statement made by ITV’s This Morning.

GMB viewers were furious that the issue hadn’t been addressed and claimed that the show was skirting around the topic.

Frustrated fans took to Twitter to air their thoughts on the matter.

One tweet read: “Another morning where GMB ignore the repugnant behaviour of [their] ITV pals Holly and Phil.”

Another said that Good Morning Britain was “ignoring” the queue jump drama and accused them of “protecting their celebrity friend’s status”.

A keen viewer then asked if GMB could “start the paper review with these two” and added two pictures of newspaper stories about the presenting pair.

In a recent GMB broadcast, Spice Girl Mel B appeared on the show and made a subtle dig at Holly and Phil.

Susanna discussed how she queued for hours with her mother and Scary Spice joked that there was “no queue jumping for her”.

Reid came to their defence and noted that “some people were also there to work”.
