FALSE eyelash sales have surged following the return of Love Island.
Firms believe viewers go online after the ITV2 dating show ends at 10pm inspired by contestants’ peepers.
Welsh online retailer FalseEyelashes noticed a 55 per cent sales spike days after the new series launched last month.
Spokesman Jenny Ho said: “It’s been amazing, our lashes literally fly off the shelves the minute the show is over.
"All everyone talks about is Love Island and how to look like the stars of the show.
“Usually the midweek hours between 10 pm and midnight are fairly quiet because people have work or college the next day and go to bed earlier.
“But at the moment the girls seem more interested in getting their eye lashes than their shut-eye.”
The firm has capitalised on the interest offering up lashes to match the most popular stars Maura Higgins, Lucie Donlan and Anna Vakili.
Women aged 25 to 34 spend the most followed by 18 to 24-year-olds.
