Gino D’Acampo brands Phillip Schofield ‘King of television’ amid Amanda Holden feud

Phillip Schofield and Amanda Holden have reportedly been locked in a feud over BGT judge Amanda being snubbed by This Morning.

Amanda was reportedly the frontrunner to fill in for Holly Willoughby while she was in Australia presenting I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! last year.

However, it was Rochelle Humes, 30, who ended up temporarily replacing Holly.

Amanda, 48, claimed Schofe had a hand in her not getting selected.

Amanda has claimed that she tried to offer an “olive branch” to Phil at the end of last year, but he ignored her texts.

Other celebs have also come out of the woodwork since Amanda dropped her shocking Schofe allegation to take digs at the silver fox.

Billie Faiers of TOWIE fame said Phillip left her feeling “uncomfortable” when she went on This Morning tpo discuss her wedding nuptials.

Phil had grilled her about the cost of her ceremony leaving Billie feeling awkward, as it was a topic she didn’t want to discuss.

But keen to sing the star’s praises, This Morning co-star Gino D’Acampo has spoken out to say how highly he thinks of the TV legend.

Ahead of the second series of his programme Win Your Wish List on Channel 5, Gino said he rang Phil for advice as he is the “King of television”.

“I phoned Phillip Schofield as to me he is the King of television.

“He is how every presenter should present, he’s very technically prepared.

“I phoned him up and said can we go out. So I was on This Morning and we had a chat for about an hour after we finished filming.
